Cookie Policy

Last updated: 11 May 2026

This policy explains how Ceendesis Accounting uses cookies and similar browser storage mechanisms. We aim to use as few cookies as possible — only what is strictly necessary to operate the service.

1. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the service to function. You cannot opt out of them while using Ceendesis Accounting.

Cookie / storage keySet byPurposeExpiry
__clerk_*ClerkAuthentication session management — keeps you logged in between page loads.Session / 7 days
__sessionClerkStores the encrypted session token used to verify your identity on each request.Session
__client_uatClerkClient update at — used by Clerk to detect cross-tab session changes (e.g. signing out in another tab).Session

2. Functional storage (localStorage / sessionStorage)

We use browser storage (not cookies) to preserve UI state between page loads. This data never leaves your browser and is not sent to our servers.

  • Tab state and filter preferences — the active tab and search filters on list pages are stored in session storage so they survive a page refresh.
  • Collapsed/expanded UI state — panel and sidebar state is stored in local storage for convenience.

3. Cookies we do NOT use

Ceendesis Accounting does not use:

  • Analytics or tracking cookies (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude).
  • Advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • Social media tracking pixels.
  • Third-party marketing cookies of any kind.

4. Managing cookies

Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, disabling them via your browser settings will prevent you from logging in to Ceendesis Accounting. If you need to use the service without cookies, please contact us — we do not currently have an alternative authentication mechanism.

You can clear existing cookies at any time through your browser's settings. This will sign you out of the service.
